1967 Jaguar E Type – Series 1 Fixed Head Coupe - When Enzo Ferrari saw the first E Type in 1961, he commented it was, “the most beautiful car ever made.” The Jaguar E Type was designed as the successor to the Le Mans winning D Type and ranked “first” in the Daily Telegraph’s 2008 listing of the “100 most beautiful cars of all time.” We have to agree. This Jag is one highly desirable Series 1. All interior and exterior components are in excellent condition. The interior has been tastefully modified improving comfort and drivability and the beautiful Porsche Ruby “Rot” Red paint is show quality. The vehicle has covered headlamps, though the original Lucas headlamps have been replaced with halogen, significantly improving night time navigation.
The 4.2L engine was fully rebuilt with high performance upgrades to the cylinder heads, intake ports, and valve train, increasing the horsepower and torque with added reliability. The original 4 speed shifts crisply and the clutch engages as it should.
It drives beautifully. While the pictures show a beautiful car, you have to see this 67 Jaguar to appreciate it. This car has always been garaged and is located in Virginia. It's available for an inspection.
