This 1967 Shelby GT500 is one of many that enjoyed a dealer installed 427 side-oiler block, early in its life. The original Police Interceptor (PI) 428 C. I. block was replaced with a more powerful and structurally stronger 427 C. I. block, built for NASCAR racing. The original cylinder heads, intake manifold, dual quad BJ/BK carbs and accessories on the Shelby GT 500 were retained, to insure a correct engine compartment appearance. The engine is date code correct and was completely rebuilt less than 1,000 miles ago. The rest of the power train, including transmission and differential, is original. The sheet metal is original and straight. The interior is clean, with no rips or tears and is in very good original condition.
This Mustang Shelby GT500’s accessories include power steering, power disc brakes, and the C6 automatic transmission. The undercarriage is free of any structural rust and is in very good driver quality condition. The paint and Shelby GT 500 badging is very nice.
There are less than 70,000 original miles on the vehicle. This rare and valuable 1967 Shelby GT500 is located in California.
